Wow I can’t believe I’m in Salt Lake City! This opportunity so far has allowed me to experience so many new things like flying into Utah, going to an amusement park, and most exciting of them all meeting athletes from around the world. I am so excited and can’t wait for the games to begin! -- Maddison Thiverge

Well I didn’t get into Salt Lake today until about 3:00 because my family drove here. But we went straight to opening ceremonies which was a great experience for all of us to get to meet all of the athletes from different countries, and around the U.S. I can’t wait to start playing! -- Jorden Burrows

Well we made it to Salt Lake City today! It’s so exciting, this trip has allowed me to meet so many great people. When we got off the plane we checked in and then went to an amusement park where the opening ceremonies were held. We got to see teams from China, Russia, and Slovenia. “We had our practice today at the IVA Center (Intermountain Volleyball Association). The warehouse wasn’t air conditioned so it got very hot. After practice players spent time with their families. For the rest of the people, we went shopping and had a great time. I can’t wait to play!” -- Rachel Femling

“OMG! We won our 1^st match! This is so tight. We were all aggressive and ready to kill that match. I am so proud of my team! We all came back - well, not all of us - but we came back to the dorms and ate the cafeteria food (which is quite good), then we watched TV or slept. I kinda like the dorms we are staying in. I room with J-Dub, Chenoa, and Nicole - what a CRAZY dorm of girls!” -- Julez Olsen

“This team is amazing! These last few days have been absolutely crazy - with meeting our team, practicing, flying to Salt Lake City, meeting other teams, and playing. I was really nervous before our first game. We really came together as a team and pulled out a 15-13 win in the fifth game. It made me realize how much I am enjoying playing with this team. We won our second match in 3. I’m having a blast with this experience and this team! I’m excited for more fun!” -- Nicole Bateham
